It is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM)! While enhancing your cyberspace is a 24/7 activity, we have taken the time to highlight cybersecurity practices at MetroStar to celebrate this month.
There are 4.5 billion internet users worldwide, and you share a network with every one of them. MetroStar's Principal Cybersecurity Engineer, Farhan Badshah, shares how important security frameworks are to protecting your organization from cyber threats.
Security frameworks help organizations implement end-to-end security across their enterprise. They not only ensure your organization is safe, but they also ensure your customers are safe too.
Examples of commonly used frameworks are NIST, RMF, ISO 270001, PCI, and CMMC. These types of frameworks allow your organization to have a baseline for measuring security effectiveness.
At MetroStar, we ensure security frameworks are considered during the development process and remain under continuous improvement. With our incremental delivery, using our very own Agile RMF approach, we have successfully addressed our customers' compliance requirements and achieved ATO 50 percent faster than if we used traditional methods.
Our work with the U.S. Department of Treasury (USDT) is an example of this solution in action. Our web hosting solution for USDT is FISMA-accredited and compliant with NIST 800-53r4, NIST 800-37’s RMF, and FedRAMP-moderate controls overlay, offering the Department secure PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS cloud computing services.
Watch the video below to learn how MetroStar Systems helps organizations choose, implement, and maintain the right security framework.
