MetroStar Awarded Insider Pro and Computerworld 2021 Best Places to Work in IT

Written by Rachel Teter | 07/12/2021

MetroStar is pleased to be a recipient of IDG’s Insider Pro and Computerworld’s 2021 Best Places to Work in IT award, which recognizes IT companies with outstanding workplaces and cultures for technology professionals. This year marks the tenth year of MetroStar receiving this prominent award.

“Since MetroStar’s inception, our people have come together to solve problems and create new ideas - in dorm rooms, coffee shops, restaurants, happy hours, and even on soccer fields and running trails,” said Ali Reza Manouchehri, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder at MetroStar.

Navigating long-term virtual work meant a lack of face-to-face interaction, but MetroStar’s people never wavered from an innovation-centric mindset.

“The work flexibility we fostered during the pandemic offered new, unconventional ways to collaborate with employees. A virtual environment provided opportunities for more 1:1 focused syncs, unique geographical hires, and unexpected digital projects,” said Manouchehri.

The Computerworld award honors organizations for their outstanding benefits, career development, training, and employee retention. In addition, IDG conducts an extensive survey of IT workers with their responses heavily factoring in the award rankings. The winners are ranked by company size—large, midsize, and small. As a small organization, MetroStar ranks number 10 on the 2021 list.

“Companies that have earned a spot on the Insider Pro and Computerworld 2021 Best Places to Work in IT list have been able to foster nimble and flexible work environments – while continuing to keep competitive compensation and benefits steady. Additionally, they foster a spirit of diversity, social responsibility, training, and innovation,” said Kate Hoy, editor of IDG’s Insider Pro.

Navigating the COVID-19 global pandemic fundamentally transformed the way many organizations operate, including MetroStar.

“Our focus is now on designing a new approach to a hybrid workforce that equally considers the needs of our people and our commitment to our customers’ missions,” Manouchehri said.

As our offices begin to reopen, the lessons and insights from remote work will help guide MetroStar into a new generation of working styles. MetroStar is openly and honestly pursuing the next phase of our company and our culture, together.

“MetroStar has welcomed 180+ new faces since March 2020. We’ve had many wins and continue to see our company grow and thrive in new ways,” said Sara Sami, VP of People & Culture. “Our people have collectively experienced the highs and lows of the pandemic, but their drive to continue to learn, achieve new certifications, and adapt to the changing needs of the digital space, has been remarkable to watch.”
