RESTON, VA, Tuesday, June 4, 2024—MetroStar, a leading provider of information technology and digital solutions, has received a multi-agency Cloud Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) "STRATUS" issued by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to obtain rapid access to hyperscale cloud service providers, integration and development service providers, and Software as a Service (SaaS) providers and resellers.
The STRATUS Cloud BOA consists of three pools of services and vendors. MetroStar is assigned Pool 2: Integration and Development. Services are expected to include application and other cloud-related development, application and infrastructure sustainment and maintenance, security management, and managed services.
MetroStar has proudly supported the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) via farmers.gov since its launch in 2018. Farmers.gov is considered USDA's premier website, serving as the "front door" for producers to FPAC agency service offerings for almost seven million end users to date and growing.
With a keen focus on delivering within a user-centric framework, MetroStar’s focus at USDA has been elevating and incorporating the voice of the customer, our nation’s farmers, and producers, into everything from initial designs to fully developed products and solutions.
“We could not be more excited to support USDA as an unrestricted BOA awardee over the next 10 years. The cloud-focused goals of Digital Infrastructure Services Center (DISC) paired with the emphasis on customer experience and mission outcomes drew us to this opportunity,” said Ashley Brush, MetroStar’s SVP of Operational Excellence & Strategy. “We love solving hard and impactful problems and look forward to being a trusted partner in the exciting transformation journey ahead.”
