MetroStar Wins Two GDUSA American Inhouse Design Awards for Sapphire and Mira

RESTON, VA, Tues., July 8, 2026 — MetroStar has won two GDUSA American Inhouse Design Awards, with its federal data observability platform Sapphire recognized in the Websites + Microsites category and its AI-powered career assistant Mira honored in UX/UI + Apps + Widgets.

The GDUSA American Inhouse Design Awards, now in their sixth decade, evaluate creative work produced by designers embedded within organizations rather than contracted from outside agencies.

For MetroStar, a Veritas Capital portfolio company, the recognition reflects the company’s continued investment in building modern digital products for defense, national security, and civilian agencies.

"We believe great design is measured by how deeply it inspires engagement and interaction with the people it is intended to serve," said Jason Stoner, MetroStar's Vice President of Design. “Whether someone is exploring Sapphire or using Mira, we design every experience to build trust, reduce friction, and help users focus on what matters most. These awards reflect the collaboration across our design, product, and marketing teams to create experiences that are as thoughtful as the technologies behind them."

Sapphire is MetroStar's next-generation network observability platform built for mission critical operations. Its product site — the work the GDUSA jury evaluated — was designed to make a technically complex product immediately accessible to federal stakeholders across varying levels of technical fluency.

Mira is an AI-powered career assistant, designed to give candidates a more personalized and engaging way to explore careers at MetroStar. Built through user research and iterative design, Mira helps candidates discover opportunities that align with their skills and interests while making the hiring journey more intuitive, engaging, and accessible.

These recognitions reflect MetroStar's broader approach to product development, where design is treated as a strategic capability alongside engineering, AI, and mission expertise. Explore more of what MetroStar has to offer: metrostar.com/federal-government-products-solutions
