Andrews earns industry recognition at the 2026 GovCon Summit for the financial leadership that fueled MetroStar's record growth.
RESTON, Va., Sept. 9, 2026 — MetroStar Chief Financial Officer Kyle Andrews was named Top GovCon CFO of the Year at the 2026 GovCon Summit, hosted by the GovCon Leaders Circle. The honor recognizes Andrews's financial leadership during a year characterized by notable wins, growth, and partnerships, including the announcement of its merger with Steampunk under Veritas Capital.
Andrews has spent twelve of his seventeen years in federal contracting at MetroStar, where he has guided the company's financial strategy, pricing discipline, and growth trajectory. Andrews led proposal pricing for a slate of the company's largest wins to date, including full-and-open contracts in artificial intelligence, and directed the financial diligence behind MetroStar's 2025 partnership with Veritas Capital and its 2026 combination with Steampunk.
“The real measure of this work is what it lets our people do for the mission,” said Andrews. “When our financial foundation is disciplined, our teams are more competitive, move faster, and give agencies the confidence to bring us their toughest challenges. It’s not just about the numbers. It's about what our customers are able to accomplish.”
“Kyle has been at the center of nearly every defining moment in MetroStar's history, from our graduation out of small-business status to the Veritas partnership to now, our merger with Steampunk,” said Ali Reza Manouchehri, Co-Founder and CEO of MetroStar. “His judgment has given MetroStar the financial footing to take real risks on behalf of our customers. As CFO of our combined organization, Kyle will keep playing that role at a bigger scale, and this recognition is a well-earned reflection of what he's already built.”
MetroStar's merger with Steampunk, announced in August 2026, pairs MetroStar's artificial intelligence and digital transformation capabilities with Steampunk's Design Intelligence® delivery approach, creating a larger, AI-enabled partner for defense, intelligence, and federal civilian missions. Andrews will continue to serve as CFO of the combined company.
MetroStar, a Veritas Capital portfolio company, is delivering next-generation products and solutions to U.S. government agencies. Focused on mission acceleration and cutting-edge technology, MetroStar equips agencies with the tools and strategies needed to navigate the future of national security, including AI, digital transformation, application modernization, and enterprise IT.
