Indianapolis, IN—MetroStar commits to creating technology careers for 100 Hoosiers over the next five years in support of ongoing initiatives to grow the organization’s team of creatives, strategists, and technology enthusiasts.

MetroStar is a leading Washington, DC-based information technology (IT) and digital transformation company serving Federal, Civilian, and Defense customers. MetroStar first established their Midwest presence in 2018, choosing the Hoosier state as the home for their second headquarters.

The headquarters is located in Bloomington, and it has already attracted a highly skilled workforce from designers to engineers, coders, and data scientists who are working on projects that help humanitarian aid reach refugees, ensure farmers have resources to feed America, and bridge open-source data and intelligence innovation to support our warfighters.

MetroStar’s Midwest Expansion Plan is a strategic investment bringing additional innovation, growth, and technology careers to Indiana.

Indiana has numerous strategic advantages for MetroStar’s maturation, including access to up-and-coming talent from Indiana’s premier universities and state-wide support for tech and defense-focused companies; however, the Indiana and Bloomington culture was the biggest differentiator that led MetroStar to plant roots in the state.

“MetroStar is committed to being engaged and active in the communities in which we live and work,” said MetroStar’s Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Ali Reza Manouchehri. “We’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with incredibly smart, talented, and hardworking Hoosiers who are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology in support of our customers’ missions.”

Since opening the second headquarters, MetroStar has partnered with the Indiana tech community on numerous projects including The Mill’s Innovation Week and Cybersecurity Sprint Week, and South Bend Code School’s Code:Girl -- a program that introduces girls in middle and high school to careers in technology.

“MetroStar’s dedication to supporting the tech and defense communities in Southwest Central Indiana speaks to the culture of our company and our commitment to growing in this state,” said Anne McCombe, MetroStar’s Director of Corporate Affairs. “Our partnerships across the state bring new ideas and innovation that differ from our DC headquarters. As a lifelong Hoosier myself, I am excited to see how MetroStar’s continued growth will impact the region.”

State and local officials have offered their excitement about MetroStar’s commitment to bringing new jobs to the Hoosier community.

“We are excited MetroStar chose Bloomington for their strategic expansion to invest in Indiana's workforce and creating quality Hoosier careers,” said Ann Lathrop, EVP of Global Investments for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “We are thrilled to support this growth as we continue to lead the Midwest tech transformation. We’ll continue to expand our national and global reach with companies like MetroStar.”

With offices based in Bloomington, the expansion has the support of the city’s mayor John Hamilton.

“This exciting and innovative company has been with us since day one of opening Indiana’s fastest-growing co-workspace, The Mill, in late 2018,” said Hamilton. “MetroStar has helped nurture the ecosystem of creative work and has been a great community partner. We look forward to years of continuing to open up the new economy to all and offering great jobs that support a high quality of life here.”

MetroStar is hosting a meet and greet at VisionLoft in Indianapolis on Feb. 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This event is an opportunity for Hoosiers to learn more about MetroStar, our culture, and career opportunities. Register for free today.
