Reston, VA Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023  The holiday season carries various meanings for us all, but for MetroStar's latest Chief Growth Officer, Pete Nelson, Christmas marked the beginning of a transformative journey. At just sixteen, surrounded by family at his aunt's house, he confidently declared his career path, deviating from the traditional college route.

By his senior year of high school, Nelson was on track to becoming a Marine, acquiring invaluable life skills that he later applied in the civilian workforce. With a blend of luck, hard work, and intuition, he navigated through diverse roles at different companies, consistently driven by a commitment to the United States' mission of freedom and prosperity.

“I am honored to join the ranks of MetroStar as the Chief Growth Officer. MetroStar’s “we love our people-first” culture is an ethos driven from the top level down and something every company should aspire to," said Nelson. "I am truly amazed by the impact MetroStar has on national security and the unique and creative solutions we bring to our government customers."

Nelson attributes his achievements to grit and curiosity. His impressive resume includes positions such as Vice President of Capture and Operations at Peraton, Business Development Director at BAE Systems, and Senior Capture Manager at Northrop Grumman.

“Pete's journey, from his early declaration to serve our nation as a Marine to his impressive tenure in pivotal roles at leading defense companies, exemplifies the leadership and dedication that MetroStar embodies," said MetroStar's Cheif Executive Officer, Ali Reza Manouchehri. "His unique blend of grit, curiosity, and a proven track record in strategic growth aligns perfectly with our culture and mission. We are excited to see the innovative and dynamic ways Pete will contribute to MetroStar's journey, enhancing our impact on national security and our clients.”

Joining MetroStar, Nelson is impressed by the sustained growth the company has experienced. Eager to leverage his diverse background, he aims to contribute to MetroStar's continued advancement in technology and support of defense, civilian, and intel communities. However, what truly excites him about his new role is the vibrant culture at MetroStar — a blend of humor and passion he embraces wholeheartedly.
